You can see how bland the model look like.Actually,I have 2 Celestia running in my system, but in different partitions.Could be possible that Celestia 1.5.0 pre 3 is actually using the defaul model that is in Celestia 1.4.1?
Celestia 1.5.0 pre3 is inside D partition and Celestia 1.4.1 is inside C partition!

It looks like they are all the new model. I don't know why the first two screenshots are showing a bare (save the panels) ISS. Looks like the Earth tex has gone awol too!

bh,
Did you see this post. danielj could have been in the "wrong" render path. OGL2 is the path to be in if he is using Celestia 1.5pre. Chris gave a little explanation here.

During this mission I'm using this model...

If you like you can grab it here:

It's a bit on the crude side but it's fine for distant viewing.

Hey guys, the models look absolutely fabulous, thanks so much for taking the time to update them!

Does anyone have time to do current updates as the missions progress according to the new assembly schedule?

One interesting note, both the sts120.3ds and issnov07.3ds open fine in Celestia, but I cannot get sts120.3ds to import into my copy of 3ds Max 8. Any thoughts?

Thanks again!

Hmm... you may have to convert the model using Anim8or and re-export. The tex files will need to be resized methinks.

Glad you're enjoying the model!

May get around to an update as to present location of 'Harmony'.

Loving the earth views as it flys over.

Recommend tuning into DroneZone on somaFM for music to go with it!

I've had a couple of beers! hic! glurk!

I wasn't successful with trying to fold the Zarya solar arrays. What one could theoretically do is remove your models' solar arrays and replace it with the original ISS model's Zarya arrays (the cheap blue folded ones), then re-texture.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

Aargh.... I'm working on that... looking pretty good too.
In the meantime I suggest the model with the short panels.

Hopefully update with new mission confiig tomorrow.

Do you guys want updates as the mission progresses? More work for me but I could do with the practise.

I love you all... you know that!

Updates? Sure, can you put a tear in the P6 solar array?

A few IMPORTANT notes:

Just the last two S1 radiators were be deployed. So all the three S1 truss
radiators are deployed. On P1 truss, there is still only one radiator deployed!

These are the changes AFTER STS-120 Discovery leaves the station:

* The ISS crew (Expedition 16) will disconnect the PMA-2 from U.S. Lab Destiny and connect it to the front port of Node 2 Harmony (Node 2 is temporaly connect to Node 1 Unity, Side Port).

* After that, Node 2 (with PMA-2 added) will be mated to its final location at front port of U.S. Lab Destiny.

So at this time the ISS-10A stage will be completed.

Not sure what you're saying here Chris... the model as it is depicts the station AFTER sts120... is it wrong?

If you want to depict the station after Node 2 relocation and after P1 radiators deployment, then your model is mostly correct. Except that the External Stowage Platform 2 from STS-114 and ESP-3 from STS-118 are still missing... and at Zvezda aft port is no russian spaceship at this time. We have currently 2 russian spaceships at Pirs docking port and at Zarya nadir port. --> http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/ima ... 06255.html

and another good picture

Okay Chris... I'll probably leave the model unless there are any major changes post sts120. Whose to say that more soyuz will dock at the rear of the station later?

I don't want to make changes as russian flights come and go quite often.

If you have Anim8or you can easily make these changes yourself.

I would like to update the soyuz models later... it's something I've been meaning to do for a while.

Take yer time there Mr. Hundley... This stuff can start to feel like work
after a while if it's all you do all day.

Again, thanks for the models. You - and the masterful El Christou - are
due a pint from yours truly. That is, whenever I can get across the pond,
and/or walk down to the Southern Hemisphere.

Hey El, do they allow postal beer there? (Thinking maybe I could ship
you one.) <grin>

Bah you can always try! :D

BTW, any interest in a more detailled model? I have it somewhere on my ToDo list... After Apollo 11 of course... (the models will be ready quite soon now...)
