Valde Lux Lucis

Post #1by Robertbobby91 » 03.06.2007, 21:55

Welcome Valde Lux Lucis. The Solar System is a very diverse area with
four planets ranging from the slightly normal to the strange.

Image

Its sun, Valde Lux Lucis, recently went through many changes. The star had an abnormal effect in its region of space. A carbon based nebula went into it and formed alot of hydrocarbons from the sun's hydrogen. When all ran out, it went super nova, breaking down alot of the hydrocarbons, but splatering many more across the system. This has caused it to shrink and weaken into it's current red dwarf state. however,
the breakdown of the helium back into hydrogen from the sun's explosion combined with the hydrogencarbon breakdown, has caused the sun to
de-nova in a sense. It is no longer a red dwarf, but a regular sun. And because the majority of hydrogen is now in a positive charge from the hydrocarbon breakdown, it can't combine into helium in a sense, because the He atom becomes unstable without electrons.

It's first planet is Ferrum Senior.

Image

When the sun loss its strength before re-energizing, it changed the planet. It was mainly a liquid iron planet but the flash freeze from the sun caused it to almost instantly turn solid and form an atmosphere. It's 20% Oxygen 10% lead and 70% pure Iron. The black clouds and hurricanes across the planet are its "Rust" storms, when cold O2 from the upper atmosphere mixes with the lower warm O2, and makes a massive hurricane. It's three moons are ever weirder. They have more O2 then the main planet, causing larger
hurricanes, and more planetary variations.

The second planet is called Fervens Aer.

It was a gas giant that flash froze into a solid planet. When the sun got stronger, some parts turned back to gas, but most stayed solid. It's only moon is an ocean world with one island and a world wide hurricane.

The third world is Gormania.

Image

Gormania was once very much like Earth.
But then it had a nice little collision with one of Ferrum Senior's
Moons that went off coarse from a strong sun spot blast. The moon hit
Gormania's only moon, obliterating both, and sending half of each to
Gormania. The blast zone chucked off a piece of the surface and left and open womb that the newly energized star kept hot. The planet suffered
greatly. The moon from Ferrum Senior was 80% lead and 20% Iron, so it caused massive extinction from lead poisining. But life has learned to go on, and it has. Its life has learned to incorporate the lead so it can survive the sun's open radiation. This is because most of Gormania's Ozone layer was blasted off into space from the collision. Its 10 moons are
remains of it's own and Ferrum Senior's moon's collision. Gormania is
still the most habitably world in the system.

The Forth Planet is called Valde Puteulanus.

Image

It is a gigantic Hydrogen, Oxogen, and Helium gas giant that flash froze. Some has returned to gas state. It has two moons. One is a frozen water world, and the other is a living planet. It's atmosphere is high above the
core. It has no surface, just a core made of one organism. One piece
of the Gormanian incident made it to here, and started life here. It
is like Xen from Half Life.

The fifth world is a gianormous ice chunk.

Image

It is said to once been a water vapour gas giant with mass amounts of carbon that flash froze. It is the largest planet and the most far out one. It has no moons, and because it has carbon and water, it's thick atmosphere is mainly methane. The ice crystals have causes a distinct blue glow that acts as a kind of planetary lighthouse. It can be seen glowing all the way from Gormania.

How about fixing (i.e. upgrading) your graphics card drivers!? We do not see such effects anywhere.

It's nothing bad, I just have to wait a second after every Capture Image Button click. Of corse, I AM using drivers intended for the 8800 series. I guess the hack screws with the program. I don't care though, I just felt like showing my system. :D
