"Copying" addons

Post #1by Spaceman » 26.04.2007, 10:52

Hello :D

One month ago i downloaded the Orion's Arm package of addons from Motherlode. I really like it, lot's pf planets, spacecrafts and megastructures :D . Here is what i want to know.
I try to create a .ssc file of a O.A. spacecraft orbiting around other planet, that is not included to the O.A. universe. When i open the Celestia and go to the planet, i can't find the addon. Why?

There are many possible errors, some due to incorrect structure, some due to typos.

I suspect the most likely is that your Addon is being loaded before the OA addon is loaded, so that the model is not yet known when your SSC catalog tries to display it.

Celestia loads Addons and SSC files in alphabetical order.

Change the name of your Addon SSC so that it is alphabetically after OA.

Does that make a difference?

The model file referred to by the Mesh statement in your SSC must exist in a sub-folder named "models".
