Sous Linux, les mod??les en format binaire ne marchent pas dans ft1.1.
Il y a comme un bug non r?©solu pour l'instant.

Fridger est au courant?
Donc le LB7 ne fonctionne pas non plus, n'est ce pas?

Boux,

I don't have any problem with CMODs in FT1.1 (Linux-KDE) They load and render fine both from /data and /extras folders.

Are you sure they aren't being rendered black?

Hi, Toti.
Only binary cmods are a problem.
Ascii cmods render OK under Linux/KDE.
Please see my post on the Celestia bugs forum.
Binary cmods are not rendered black. They load (at least the console says so) but the models just don't show up.

Yes, I meant I have no problem with binary CMODs either.

Most asteroids in the base package are binary CMODs (eg. Vesta, Gaspra, Ida). Can your FT1.1 load these? (they hold slightly different data WRT spaceships)

Asteroids don't load either.
I have to use their *.3ds mates to get them to show up.
Really weird.
Perhaps another GCC 4 mess!

Yes, it looks like a compiler thing (padding issues?). I build with gcc-3.3.4.

Oddly, other people also used gcc-4.x (both in Linux and Mac) but reported no problem so far.

No way... I'm too busy with this project of mine... instead of Brazil, there is some chance for me to go to Miami... we will see...

Whoa, the coolest Celestia spacecraft model i've seen so far! I changed the ssc a bit:

Class "spacecraft"
Mesh "vostok1.cmod"
Radius 0.0045
Beginning "1961 04 12"
Ending "1961 04 13"
LongLat [ 83 60 315 ] # somewhere over Siberia at apogee...

...so it only appears on that one historical day. I couldn't bother with the exact times, besides it was quite a short flight.
