I add: I try to complete (essentialy) some datations, but it would be very useful to correct some others data, like period, SemiMajorAxis or other orbit commands (I note some approx. data, but it is not very accurate), some radius when numberous crafts are locked, etc, etc....
BTW : all help to optimize the .scc data (for the moment Work-in-Progress) is greatly welcome.
Jeam

Note: the latest release of this pack is greatly completed, with all models running very well, even on my little install... Have fun -and remember the historical space race- with it!

Hi all, hi linuxm@n,

About the pics, what I discovered is making clickable thumbnails 160px large and posting these with link on actual images.

It looks like this (example from a recent post of mine) :

Image

Code for that is here :

Code: Select all

[url=http://download.hoshikaze.net/sources/StarsOfCall/1.1.0/Soc-SystemEditor-Winform-068.png]
    http://download.hoshikaze.net/sources/StarsOfCall/1.1.0/Soc-SystemEditor-Winform-068-s.png
  [/img]
[/url]

That's essentially an IMG tag inside an URL tag. It's easy and nice, of course you can't see much from the thumb but it helps posting many images at once !

Hope it helps...

Thank you

I think that there is a bug ini the Soyouz-Appolo pack, many people have crc error message on this package.

Can you see Apollo and Soyouz docked, if not reload the Soyouz-Appolo pack

I heve replaced this pack yesterday on my site

I am using the newest packs available from your site. I just noticed that I have two different (?) files named 'lk.3ds' living inside my installation of Back in USSR:

one (2874 KB) is here: Celestia\extras\Back in USSR\Projets-lune\models

and,

one (2877 KB) is here: Celestia\extras\Back in USSR\Projets-lune\textures\medres

Is this the way it is supposed to be?
THANKS! again for a terrific add-on.

Unfortunately, the latest Back in USSR.zip contains only an HTML file and Credits. All of the catalogs and models are gone :(

[edit]
There are several smaller zip files available.
Hopefully they include all of the models (or improved versions) that were included in the original Back in USSR kit.

You'r right, this lk.model has not landed in the good folder.

You can delete it, i have more some works on the Projet-lune pack on ssc files and models...

I have deleted this model and replace the new pack Projets-Lune on my site

Thank you

Exact , you have to download the several smaller zip files available.

I have made a pack for each different mission and it will be now more easy for future upgrade.

Hopefully they include all of the models (or improved versions) that were included in the original Back in USSR kit.

The fictive dock between Soyouz tma2 and tm25 and Soyouz-11 orbiter module/service are not in the new pack.

Others modifications:
- textures and more detailled models
-ssc files

For the moment I try to refine my calculations in order to make files ssc and xyz showing all the mission with the changes of orbit. See on my site bus of many packs have modified summers and I made a script illustrating the mission of the Soyuz 4 and 5 with the dockings and the s?©paration.

-Changing textures for Soyouz 4 and 5 + french script, new models with best d?©tails.(pack soyouz-4-5-eva)

-New pack Saliout 1-soyouz11 with new docking in live
I had some documentations giving me an idea of the place of the dockiing and the file ssc does not use any more the "hybrid spacecraft" but two distinct vessels I will soon work to make a script for Saliout 1 and Soyouz 11

-And new Soyouz Lok model on the "Projets-lune" pack

-The Saliout-6-soyouz pack is the same as the last Saliout-Soyouz pack but without Saliout 1 and Soyouz 11

Use my url page on my site to see Saliout 1 and Soyouz dock

http://celestiasws.free.fr

You will see the last date of each pack

here is the new Saliout 1 an Soyouz 11

linuxm@n,

your SSC files are extremelly badly formated. There are tons of useless spaces and tabulations in the codes, and this makes custom modification very challenging. Could you please modify your SSC file with better, standard formatting ?

Also, many of your models are veryyyyyy slow in Celestia. I suspect some small pieces have way too much polygons. I like high resolution myself, about models, but not if my FPS is dropping to a crawl.

Yep, same here, those very nice models are unfortunatly for high end config, they are almost impossible to use decently on my config...

You can have new ssc files, only spaces are used, i have some problem with UTF-8 and Unicode with my configuration (using Linux)

Also, many of your models are veryyyyyy slow in Celestia.

You can find a new pack for Saliout 1 (4.7 Mo) and new Soyouz 11 (3.5mo)
You can also load the new Soyouz 4 and 5 models (approx 4/4.5mo)

I done that i can with 3dsmax.......

My configuration is 5 years old and my models run perfectly:

AthlonXP 2400/1.5go Sdram 133/Geforce 6600+256mo/Apple Hd cinema Displat 23"

But my new model Spoutnik 2 (1.4 mo) will run on lower configuration ,i hope so.
There are now two packs for each Sputnik, here is the Spoutnik 2

Concerning the N1-Moon project, I broke up the rocket with all his stages in order to make a mission compl?©te. Calculations of the file xyz are complex and impose the creation of a program in php dedicated because a spreadsheet is not enough. This program east creates but it misses some formulas and it still contains some bugs. If that interests one among you, I can nevertheless propose the N1 rocket alone in ?€?static take-off?€

A new pack Soyouz-4-5-eva is on my site.
Please load the script to see the mission

You can also find the N1-Lune-beta.zip pack with th N1 rocket,
One calculates the orbits to go on the Moon with the separation of the blocks, while waiting you can already see the all alone N1 rocket.
