bh,

your model doesn't have proper specular reflections. It may show "correctly" in Celestia 1.4.1, but this is a bug in Celestia (corrected in 1.5.0).

lol,

Regarding anim8tor, I tried everything; renaming files to upper case, putting them in EVERY anim8tor subdirectory...

edit:
Hex editing the model file to change the file extensions and graphics to jpg ... and after orienting the model in anim8tor, saving and hex editing back to bmp Did Work !!

Again, thank you for making this.

So what is the ISS going to be like after STS-116 is finished their work on it? Anyone got that model yet? I'd love to load that up with Elchristou's Atlantis (renamed Discovery) and make a lil diorama.

I think the appearance will not have changed that much to notice.

Basically, you have a new solar panel.Should be this time that ISS will become brighter than Venus?
Anyway,I load the more recent model(isssept06.3ds),and it works well in Celestia 1.5.0 pre3.But how can I do to the logos of NASA,ESA e NASDA,for example,to be displayed?Putting in the medres don??t work.Putting in the Extras folder,Celestia couldn??t find the addon...

Okay... I'll look into the missing logos on the next update... it might be that the image files have lost their links from the mesh. I'll check it out in Anim8tor when I get time.

Sorry bh. I appreciate you looking at this.

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/stati ... s/its.html

I suppose you already looked here for the location of the radiators on the Truss Structure...

On a related note all of the textures in the previous ISS assembly sequence ISS (Unity mod) December 4, 1998 - P1 Truss Launch Nov 23, 2002 do appear in isssept06.3ds

Regards,

edit:
aren't you fast... I was typing the above when you posted it! nice job!

This model is still using the BMP textures, which are not supported by Celestia. To be useful for more users, the texture pack should be converted to dds, png or jpg and the texture file names in the model should match the file names in the texture pack zip (currently, the names in the model are all uppercase, while the actual texture files are not, this will not work with Linux).

Looks okay on my box... will look into converting to jpg however.

Could be a bit of a job renaming all textures and linking to mesh, will have to do this for all incarnations of Andrews original model.
