Celestia's Educational Activities have all been updated for 2006. They include a customized version of 1.4.1 with sound and overlay textures, plus exciting sound effects, new add-ons and new astronomical facts for 2006.

7 Planets blasted into Hyperspace! Mercury survives!

first I'd like to thank you for your work. I really do appreciate that.
Installing the General Educational package and running celestia141-ED.exe I wondered if I teleported to some parallel universe:
Except for Mercury all the planets in our Solar System were gone.
After some investigation I found that in the file data/educational-solarsys.ssc the NightTexture definition of Venus [line 48] must be terminated with a " rather than with a :.

Sorry about that. I caught the mistake a week ago and it is now fixed on Motherlode.
Oh ... the bane of a programmer!!!
One colon instead of a quote, and the solar system disappears. I wish I could do that so easily with some of America's politicians.
