CTX?

ok im new - im updateing celestia and it says this
CMOD - 3DS - and CMS go in models
JPG - PNG - DSS - and BMP go in Medres
SSC - STC and DSC go in Data

i have been downloading CTX files where do those go????

Also i have heard that NASA has found more planets in Sol System is this correct and if it is is there any file that shows where they are?

CTX files are "virtual texture images". They go in the appropriate /texture/ subdirectory (lores, medres or hires). By themselves, they won't do you any good, though. Please read the documentation on VirtualTextures on the Motherlode at http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... ation.html


In the past few years, astronomers have found dozens of rather large objects in the outer solar system. Most of them are Kuiper Belt Objects. One (Sedna) may be an inner Oort Cloud object. (See http://www.gps.caltech.edu/~mbrown/sedna/ ) I haven't heard of any that are large enough to be classified as planets, though.
