addons using mac OSX

does anyone know of any Celestia reference material specifically for Macs? I have installed a lot of addons to my system successfully,but some I just can't get to work............I have a blue marble 32kx16k earth texture but I can't get any earth night lights to work with it. Thanks

Exactly which Addon did you install?
Exactly how did you install it?
Please don't leave out any details.

There are many possible reasons for nightlights not working which have nothing to do with the type of computer you're using.

Section 6 has a list of possibilities why any given texture image file might not work.

If you're using an SSC file with an AltSurface definition, make sure that the AltSurface definition which specifies your hires texture also includes the statement
NightTexture "earthnight.*"
(or the name of whatever night light texture image you're using.)

Thanks ....got it to work....I wasn't specifying the night texture name in the AltSurfaces BlueMarble ssc file
