New Moon models

I have been steadily reworking both Phil Stookes and my own models of some of the moons of our solar system to be aligned correctly in 'Celestia 1.3.2.pre1'.You can find all the ones I've done so far here
http://jestrstuff.0catch.com/extras/Moons/NewMoons2.html
and on my FTP site-slow option
ftp://celestia:addons@81.111.74.239
Each zip file contains 3ds model files and my own version of the relevant textures.I've now made the models so as to accept any texture, which you can specify within the relevant ssc.I will be adding new ones as I make them, all the best Jestr[/url]

Jestr,

Just FYI:
_____________________________________________________________
40 Meg Limit Exceeded!

This site has exceeded its limit of 40 Megabytes of transfer per day. The account can be upgraded to a paid account to increase the transfer limit up to 15 Gigs of transfer per month in your 0catch.com user tools section.

If you would like your own 100 MB FREE WEB SITE with a long list of features simply sign up at 0catch.com.

_____________________________________________________________

I *think* your models are popular.

While I'm here though, I'd like to add 1 (one?) of your sites to my web page. Do you have a preference as to which one I should use? :)

Thanks, Bob

I dont mind which site you add-the limit factor applies to all of them except my FTP because they are all free sites so there are all sorts of restrictions to file types, sizes etc.I'm out of work at the moment so I guess it will be a while before I can upgrade any of them-at least it means I have lots of time to make more models/textures.Try the FTP its slow going but with the moons they are not big anyway-if it wont work through Internet Explorer try a FTP client program like FTP surf,I think they have a free download.Just starting work on Tethys now, cheers Jestr

Hi Jestr,
In my computer I'm currently running "Ad-watch" program from Lavasoft, that blocks ads and other pretty things from installing into the PC. 8)
FYI , when I try to connect to the site you wrote
http://jestrstuff.0catch.com/extras/Moons/NewMoons.html
the ad-watching program stops the connection :( and reports the following: :x
------------------------------------------------------------
"http://jestrstuff.0catch.com/extras/Moons/NewMoons.html - Microsoft Internet Explorer"
Handle:2222981188
Classname:IEFrame

02/02/04 16.11.19: Popup blocked: "http://jestrstuff.0catch.com/extras/Moons/NewMoons.html - Microsoft Internet Explorer"
------------------------------------------------------------
I trust in this program, so I wanted to draw your attention! 8O

bye bye
Pierluigi

Jestr,

Lovely models! I'm busily dowloading them. However, I can't get the NewMimas.zip file. Clicking on it takes me to an FTP directory.

Any ideas??

Many Thanks,

Cormoran

Cant even access the site, got the "40 Meg Limit Exceeded!" page. Maybe you could come to some agreement with someone who hosts their own pages?

Just so's you know, Mr. Jestr, sir...

I got 3.5 Megabytes of stuff through your FTP site. I used a free FTP client, and just watched it gobbling up data for about 20 minutes.

I *still* haven't gone through all of it to see what I got.

Thanks though... The FTP site worked fine for me.

Take care, Bob
