Atlantis

Post #1by bh » 18.11.2003, 01:52

TERRIER...sorry...I've been so busy with baby stuff. I'm still waiting for the new Soyuz models Orion sent me pics of. It's gonna be worth the wait.

X-33 looks like a no no. Lets design a new shuttle!

Regards...bh.

Hey bh!

No worries, some things in life are more important than space shuttles!

I have made some progress with the X-33, X-38 models, heres a link to a 3D model search engine;
http://shape.cs.princeton.edu/search.html

If you type in x-33 or x-38 as your keyword and do a search, it comes up with VRML model links for these. The only thing is, I don't know if it's possible to get at them? :?

regards

Try Crossroads. It's a free 3d model converter thingy- it's what I used to convert all those models from the Russian VSM, to go with the old soviet spacecraft trajectories. It screws up all the faces, you lose all the colours, and you have to take the mesh apart bit by bit afterwards, :roll: but it IS the only free VRML-3ds converter i've been able to find anywhere on the net!

Try Right Hemisphere's Deep Exploration. You can save and convert for thirty days with the demo.

Thirty days? $299? :roll:

Pfft... I'd prefer a crappy freeware one that I can keep forever rather than a great one that only lasts a short while! (I'm aware that makes no sense btw)

I'm gonna try to get this done in the week! I't's going to be my next project before going in to outer space...I want to do my extrasolar.

But I really want to do Atlantis/Mir first.

Regards...bh.
