I downloaded it,but the galaxy stillis featurless,only a gray blob.Can you help me?

"it works fine for me!" I see the model and the grey blob at exactly the same place in space, although at right angles to one another.

My first guess would be that you're trying to use it with an older version of Celestia. DSC objects require at least v1.3.0 of Celestia.

Please read the "Preliminary User's FAQ" in the Users Forum and describe your system and the software it is running in the way shown there.

As an example, here's my configuration:
256MB 500MHz P3, WindowsXP Pro sp1
128MB GeForce 4 Ti4200, Detonator 43.45, OpenGL v1.4.0
Celestia v1.3.1pre6
