I did not mean to imply that it is the most scientifically accurate distance as I am well aware that measuring distances to galaxies can yield many varying results depending on the methods used, especially with the possibility that Type Ia supernovae may not have a uniform brightness.
While every (astro)physical measurement method of course has associated uncertainties as specified in the quoted error, an averaging of many independent determinations will strongly reduce the error from only a single measurement. That's what is done in my galaxies.dsc catalog for Celestia 1.6.0. Of course, Tully-Fischer is part of this. The most accurate method is based on Cepheids.

I wanted to let everyone know that the full addon is now available on the Celestia Motherlode. It is titled "Star Wars Galaxy" by TheShadow1138.

So will this overwrite the previous version if downloaded? Or will I have to go on a deletion spree?

I recently downloaded it. The only problem is editing the ssc's. Is there any way to make this thing a little more, well, normal? Finding what I need is one thing, keeping track of said item on a very long line of code? That's hard.

But otherwise, I thank you for all your hard work. Couldn't have been easy.

Opening the files in WordPad (windows) should automatically fix it. It's worked for me, most of the time.
