U-93 Fictional System

Hi

Well the title gives it away, I am creating a 4 planet system around a red giant star. It shouldn't take too long as I have been practicing my texture making now. Here are some screenies for my proof of work

This is a small ice giant that has become hotter due to the stars expansion. It has a very faded ring system and some cloud streaks across its atmosphere. Texture was done by using and copying bits of the neptune texture and rings were done from scratch.



This is the only moon of the ice giant. Over the stars lifetime it has thawed from a frozen wasteland to a tropical paradise. Texture was created by copying parts of an 8k Earth texture and modifying the land. Clouds were downloaded from xplanet, a real time cloud generator which produces maps of earths clouds every 3 hours, handy if your not that good at cloud creation

Screenshot Updates***

I have been working further on the textures and I have updated all of them. I have also introduced a new planet which I feel is ready to be shown. Here are the shots:



This is the new texture for U-93 I. I thought that it would no longer have an Ice Giant status because it is so close to the giant star. The ring texture is still the same. Also I have given the planet a night side texture too, but it is not shown here.



This is the new texture for the tropical moon of U-93 I. I have given it a warm earth type look and a new set of clouds



Finally, this is U-93 II, the second planet in the system. It has a fast rotation and it's poles are slightly squashed suggesting that this was once another Ice Giant that had its atmosphere stripped away in the systems early history. Texture was created from scratch.

Hope you like them! I am going to release a beta of the system soon for people to explore and give feedback on improvements.
