Pitch Black system

Post #1by ComputerHotline » 07.12.2008, 15:44

Hello everybody.
Is anybody know to create an add-on to simulate the system called "M-344/G" in Pitch Black film.
Thanks for your answer.

The configuration depicted in the film is physically impossible - the planets' orbits "locking" to give a long eclipse of all three suns (the blue sun and the binary pair of red suns) is going to be horrendously unstable even if you could figure out some way of achieving it.

yeah, and whats the deal with the two ring systems around that planet (two different roche limits at different distance for a round planet (possible depending the material), but certainly not in that configuration)

I've been trying to make a double ringed planet for a long time now. Maybe it is impossible in nature but looks good for sci-fi.

Just copy the entire planet and change the inclination for one of them

I tried that but the second planet never shows up if you want its radius smaller than the first planet.
