This is a re-release... Doug's lem model textured by Jens.

This will have to do until Chris releases his excellent model.

"Will have to do?" Sniff.

I'm glad to see so many people have made use of that lander model in Celestia and elsewhere, especially CNN who pirated it with out mercy

Lol. No offense taken, I made that model in 3d Studio (dos) in 1996. Almost got arrested hanging over the railing to get source photography at the National Air and Space Museum.

Model on, Space fans.

Glad that you're not offended--the 'reasonable' triangle count for models has climbed quite a bit since 1996 :) Anyhow, I do hope that you've been properly credited for your work in each Celestia add-on derived from it.

OMG! Hey Doug! Long time no contact! If you remember I did contact you all those years ago for permission to pass your fine model on to the good people of the Celestia community.

It took me some effort to track you down as I recall!

Forget the "will have to do' remark... that was off the cuff I'm afraid. Your model is super. Many thanks.

No worries, BH! Yes, I remember your request, still happy to share.

I'm just pleased to see the old mesh get such a good workout.
