Does it will arrive filled with? I doubt it. Send it twice Bob, for sure. :)

BTW, any interest in a more detailled model? I have it somewhere on my ToDo list... After Apollo 11 of course... (the models will be ready quite soon now...)

Concerning the pint... Methinks perhaps I could simply hoist one for you.
Gulp...

Are you kidding me with the detailed model question? I'm ALWAYS
interested in your stuff. Anything you create is a masterpiece, so you
just feel free to detail anything you like. All are MUCH appreciated at this
end. That's mainly because I don't have a clue as to how to make them
meself, but I'm slowly learning. Thanks again also to Mr. Hundley. bh's
models are also extremely welcome here. It just amazes me what you
guys can do with your computers. Hell, I'm still trying to set UP my new
Vista machine.

Methinks I'll hoist ANOTHER one now for bh. (Not the Brain-Dead one, but
the other guy who's making spectacular models for bozos like me.)

Thanks a bunch guys. You really do make the world more interesting.
Take care, 'Ol Brain-Dead

'Cry"... I'd love to get one of Chris's shuttle with this...
Another league methinks.

Thanks for your encouragement you guys... Bob... email me a pint of ESB!

Good luck with the spacewalk you astronaut types!

May try and update the mission model this weekend.

I'd like something not more than about 500k and compatible with the GNU Public License under which Celestia is distributed. bh, does your model meet those requirements, and if so, would you be willing to have it included in the Celestia package? It's much more attractive than the current model.

Hello Chris... the current model weighs in at around 1 meg I'm afraid... although it could well be optimised more... I don't know how to do it though.

I will work on the new version during this mission and see if I can get the file size down some more.

As for including in the Celestia package that would be great! I will have to get permission from Andrew Farnaby first as it's his base model.

hollerith the model as it is before this mission is here...
http://www.bobhundley.com/celestia/issjune07t.zip

Put in models directory

Textures...
http://www.bobhundley.com/celestia/issjpegs.zip

Put in Textures/Medres

Is it correct that bmps no longer show?

Steffens... I thought we fixed that converting the textures to jpegs? No?

should i just drop all these jpgs. into the textures/medres folder?

Well I guess we're delayed a few weeks anyway so no rush for me until after New Years. How 'bout a nice 3D model of the ECO sensors...

I'm so sorry but I've no time at all to carry on with the ISS... although I've heard a rumour that someone (sic) is planning a super replacement to my somewhat simple models.

I used to do all the updating with Anim8or... you can start with the complete model and whittle it down for starters... please post and share your updates!

If there's no action on this I may plan a weekend and get something together as an interim option.

Cheers Celestians!

Thanks guys, understand there's never enough time. Where can I find the original complete model? Not used Anim8or before, is the original model a 3DS Max or some ther format?

I made Bob Hundley's model into an X3D model using Flux Studio.

http://djbarney.silentflame.com/iss/ISS_Guide_7.x3d

You may need a player. That link is to a development version. The links to all the space agencies don't work, I just have to import them from a previous version.

Flux is currently being developed into a new piece of software when Media Machines changed to Vivaty, but the point is that the model is based on X3D code.

I am using the model (with permission) for an educational project about the ISS. The main ISS model could easily be exported back to Celestia format.

If a Sourceforge project were made, or some kind of version control system for the X3D then development could continue with many developers on a single model.

Anyone interested ? Either join my project and work on a web model of the ISS, or it could be forked into an educational project and one solely for Celestia.

Okay, I used the full ISS model from bh's website and "unberthed" the parts so it looks roughly as it would after STS-124. Is there someone I can send the .3ds model to for posting? Thanks!

If you'd like to post it on the Motherlode, you can use the upload form located HERE. Please make certain that you have a read me file explaining how to install and use the model though. If you don't do this, then the add-on will be rejected out of hand.

Thanks. I just want to make sure I'm not guilty of any copyright infringement. I'm using Andrew Farnaby's model which is posted on Bob Hundley's website. Do I have permission to upload the modified model?
