More Stars

Hey everyone! I'm new around here, but been meddling with Celestia for a year and a bit now.

I've got the 2,000,000 stars add-on from celestia motherload, and was just wondering if there has been any updated add-ons released with more stars?

I am hungry for more stars! Lol

Can't wait for the day when they've mapped the Milky Way in all its glory.

Welcome to the Celestia madness :D
In Celestia Motherlode you will find some addons with more stars. Remember that some of the addons has not only stars, but also nebulas or/and planets. Also, some of them are fictional like the stars from Star Trek. Would tou like me to create a list of this addons or you prefer to find them yourself ?

Thanks heaps man. Here's a good star to check out: HIP 333375, it must be totally out of proportion, coz it's radius is greater than the orbit of pluto! (I'm sure stars that big exist, but Canis Majoris is the largest one they've found sofar and its radius is only ~9.76 AU

Anyways

Celestia is notorously bad at calculating stellar radii.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

It is of course possible to specify the Radius of a specific star:

Code: Select all

Radius    10000000

I think this is a new feature in version 1.5.0.

It would be nice if this could be done as a "Modify", but I'm not sure if Modify works for STC's. I think the Modify construct is SSC only.
