Using the default cloud texture with drop shadow and emboss filters applied...I need to experiment further. I dont know if this technique will work on higher res dds cloud textures.

Can you post a before and after show bh?

I'm not sure I can see a difference from the standard textures in what you posted.

Might have overdone it a bit but you get my drift.

Those shadows look too big... as if the clouds are very very high above the earth...

Yes I deliberately exaggerated the effect. The top image is a bit more subtle.
