medres hubble model

I am looking for a medium - resolution Hubble model;
the standard model included in the celestia-pack is very crude
but the ones available on the motherlode are way too detailed,
the statement "may be very slow" is indeed very true.
Anyone can give me a link to a medium resolution Hubble CMOD model ??

rra:
A forum member named "Terrier" did a great HST that displays fine on virtually all systems. Here is the web address to download it:

Thanks Frank, it works great with my video-card.
Strange that Terrier didn't submit this model to the motherlode,
also I would suggest that this model should be part of the standard Celestia-pack, it is not much bigger than the rest of the models,
also it can easily be compressed below 100 KB.

Rene:
Drop a forum PM or email to Chris Laurel, suggesting he include the model.

I will do that .
By the way , I now seem to have 2 Hubble's ,
one called "Hubble" the other "HST", they coincide, but are orbiting the earth at completly different places at one time.
Obviously only one of them can be true.
Do you happen to know which one is using the correct orbital elements ?

Hi,
I hope you didn't follow the installing instructions and modify the spacecraft.ssc file. Instead, just change the first line of the HST ssc file by putting "Replace "Hubble" ... instead of "HST" ... One Hubble only will remain.
I don't think it's possible to model the Hubble trajectory for long.

brokfn is right. You will have two hubbles until you replace one of them with the new model. The "replace" command will work fine.
Hubble's actual orbit changes constantly due to variations in its trajectory. The actual Hubble orbit is not being simulated in Celestia for more than a few weeks.
Should you wish to update it, there is a website that you can use to find the new parameters. Unfortunately, I don't use it and don't know its address.
