Ref; my previous post:Ive had some success with the Mars Hires tyles and there is "alternative surfaces on the drop down menu after right clicking the planet drop down menu.....I'm sure something fundermental is afoot.So why isn't it happening with the earth?thanks if anyone can help.Merry Christmas

Are you making your own textures or did you download them? Threre are 2 files. A .ssc and a .ctx for planet VT's. If you are making your own, mistakes are sometimes made there. If you downloaded them then they should be right but sometimes need tweaking. Need more info.
