Earth Latitude Longitude Texture Maps

Hello all

Tried the SEARCH...but no luck.

Where can i download an ALTERNATE TEXTURE Map showing latitudes and longitudes for the EARTH?

This map is illustrated in the Celestia manual...and i think it would be a great help...also the Ice-Age map, or a map just after the BigBang...

Thanks

I don't know if they're what Frank's manual shows, but Grant Hutchison made some grids available. See http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celest ... grids.html
and

Also, some CMOD grids are available. You have to edit them yourself to put them around the appropriate planets, though. See http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celest ... les.html#6
.

Ran Ten:

If you open the gold grid texture in the Medres folder representing Earth with an image editing program, you can add lines representing the prime meridian, tropics of cancer and capricorn, and artic and antarctic circles. Label the lines. Then, save it as "grid-earth.jpg" and change the ssc file in the add-on to specify the "grid-earth.jpg" as the overlay texture for Earth.

Enjoy

Sorry. Yes, that is the one ... the Earthgrid.png file.

I have already done this. If you wish, I can email it to you and save you some time. Just drop me an email at "fsgregs@comcast.net" with your email address.

Anyone else who would like the tropics of cancer, capricorn, and prime meridan added to the grid, just email me and I'll send you the file.

Frank
