Managed to finalise the script/program to build/render images of the UK from a certain online source *cough*.

For example, with just 3-4 clicks of a mouse, you can build this JPG image:-

BEWARE: This is a somewhat large example 6 meg!! Probably best to Right Click and "Save As".

Right Click me and Save As

Phew! It seems to work! You can even see cars on some of the roads :)

These high altitude photographs are something else. I actually get a bit of vertigo!

I actually recognised the first one- that is Canning Town in London, from the River Lea to Beckton, isn't it?
And the other one is the Medway, I believe. Very interesting.

I had a class in interpreting aerial photographs in college- one useful tip is that a single decker bus is about ten metres long, so you can use them for scale.
