Would it be possible to make Celestia use 2 flares versions for stars :
- the 1st version of flare would be used when stars are very distant (I'm thinking about the flare version looking like a cross, which is very realistic for stars seen from a long distance)
- the 2nd version would be used when stars are less distant (other versions of flares are more realistic from small distances)
We would decide then what distance the flare 'texture' would switch from the first one to the second...
Sorry for my poor english but I hope you understood what I meant...
