Hi,
Does anyone know of an earth map (political borders or otherwise,) or overlay showing Time Zones...? I tried to make one with a miller cylindrical projection but it didn't look right...

Thanks,
Rich

A political overlay map for Celestia by Grant Hutchison is at
http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/hutchison/borders.html

Celestia requires "simple cylindrical" projection, also known as "Plate Carree", not "Miller".

Thanks for the reply, Selden.

My previous post, as I re-read it, was a little unclear - I already I do already have the polit borders overlay, which is a great geography tool; I'm really looking for a simple cylindrical version of a time zone map like this....

...whether it has political borders or not is fine.

If I come across one, I'll post about it. It'd make a nice addition. There must be one out there somewhere!

One like this?

I used a low-res map, so it looks more like a pre-school toy than a science-based time-zone map. But, compared to my other celestia stuff, this one turned out great. :P

Yes, Tanketai, that's pretty much just what I had in mind.
