Firstly sorry if this request isnt within the forums remit.
I have been doing space art for the past year or so and am enjoying it very much. Lately I have been recreating the planets of the Solar System. Most of them have been easy to do (simple spheres). The difficult ones are The Sun (with the corona, solar flares, sunspots, etc), and Saturn's Rings (getting the divisions and the ring pattern just right).
Here is what I have managed so far:
• The Sun: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/4091875/
• Saturn: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/4309614/
Don has suggested that I convert some of my work to 3ds to be used in Celestia and that would be an interesting new approach for me so I will look at doing that. In the meantime some help with the two objects would be much appreciated

Rnd,
If you haven't already, you might want to take a look at Bj?rn J?nsson's Web site at http://www.mmedia.is/~bjj/ As I recall, he includes a discssion of how to model rings.

Since his tut was mainly for POV I decided to give that a try. I can indeed achieve similar rings to Celestia in POV. But the trouble with POV is you can pan round like you can in Bryce so other than messing with nothers Im not sure how to get the shot I need. There must be a way to achieve that in Bryce.
