I change the Saturn original texture of Celestia 1.3.1 pre 11 for a new texture of Bjorn Jonnson.Actually,I download the 1800X900 texture and I changed this to 1024X512(usable for Celestia).Bjorn said this texture is based in Hubble and Voyager data and is more accurate. But the texture is much more colorless than the previous one. So,I wonder,is that Saturn real colors or is just an interpretation? Is it more accurate? This is,Saturn don?t have so pink and vivid colors...

I'll add that the default Celestia texture for Ganymede is Bjorn Jonnson's old one. Now he has one with better colors. http://www.mmedia.is/~bjj/data/ganymede/index.html
He also made the Europa texture look more icy.

To my untrained eye, the latest Saturn texture from Bjorn Jonsson is a vast improvement over the other textures I've both seen, and used.

I don't see too much "Pink" in the texture though... It looks realistic to me.

Perhaps there may be some OpenGl issues involved? Just a thought. I've tried about five different Saturn textures, along with cloudmaps and atmospheric adjustments, and this one seems to render nicely compared to the others.

On the other hand, maybe Saturn IS pink?

Take care, Bob
