Why is not working????

I wanted to try making a Virtual Texture from a 8k earth bumpmap in .jpg format. so i converted to 1k and split it in two 512x512 and named them tx_0_0.jpg and tx_0_1.jpg. than i converted the 8k to 2k and split it in 8 512x512:
-tx_0_0.jpg
-tx_0_1.jpg
-tx_1_0.jpg
-tx_1_1.jpg
-tx_2_0.jpg
-tx_2_1.jpg
-tx_3_0.jpg
-tx_3_1.jpg

then i put the first two *.jpg files in:
...celestia\textures\hires\bumpmap\level0
and the other 8 in
......celestia\textures\hires\bumpmap\level1

then i made a VTbum.ctx file and put it the ...celestia\textures\hires folder.
this is what the VTbum.ctx have inside:

{
        ImageDirectory "bumpmap"
        BaseSplit 0
        TileSize 512
        TileType "jpg"
}


and on the solarsys.ssc file, in the earth section, I put:

BumpMap "VTbum.ctx"
BumpHeight 4.5



the problem is that i am not seeing anything!!! i can see virtual textures so thats not the problem.
Can anybody help me?

btw: in the start.cel i put to start with the sun, not earth, cause it takes less time to load. today when i started i saw this:

what i marked its a galaxy, but it looks like fire going out from teh sun(i dont remember how that is called, i think that its a sun flame or something like that)

ElPelado...solar flare I think....as far as your vtext problem...I haven't a clue!

Hi ElPelado,

So far I know does a bumpmap not work as virtual texture. Use a normal map.
