Perhaps a mail would had be enough for this kind of problem, but since I know I'm not the only one to download from the John's website, I thought it could be interesting for a lot of people.

I've recently downloaded a lot of textures from http://68.41.192.215/JohnsCelestiaPage/ ... downloads/
but comparing them with the originaly coming ones for celestia, I've noticed the orientation is not the same...

Who's right ? What's the correct orientation for Ganymede, Callisto, etc. ?

The standard ones that come with celestia are correctly oriented- grant hutchinson corrected the textures & rotationoffsets a few versions ago. You should probably compare all the other textures to the originals to get them the right way around.

After investigating a little more, it seems the john's textures are correctly orientated. They matches with the original ones... So John, if read this, please accept my apologies

The culprits were 4 jupiter moons, made the 10.29.02. I'm still looking where did I downloaded it.

And thanks for your help, Jack.
