We require Tool(s) that is/are capable of converting DDS into other Graphic Formats.

Personnaly I use Paint Shop Pro with a dds plugin (also working with Adobe Photoshop).

i use the photoshop, i open the dds textures using the plug-in, and then i save them to other formats.

We have assimilated both of those, Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. That plugin is all we needed.

We have recently downloaded a Paint SHop Pro version 3.x.x! It works on Windows 3.1x! 3.5 MB!

If you are a gluton for punishment you could try MS's dxtex4.7.0.700 from the direct x sdk
I only use it for clouds and textures made with version 4.9of the tool cause
Celestia to crash

I use a 3D viewing tool called "Deep Exploration"

But it can also view DDs textures and export them as TGA images too.

1. Windows XP Professional
2. Windows Millennium

7. Some Operative System on Testing

Why seven of them?
We use them for testing various software. Also, we attempt to modify their interface and increase efficiency (using other programs, selfmade or downloaded).

1. Windows XP Professional ---------- Operative System for graphic editing, 3D Modeling, Multimedia related data and other Memory Intensive tasks and programs, testing
2. Windows Millennium ----------------- Surfing the web, downloading and assimilating data and programs, testing, running the programs that are not compatible with Windows XP
3. Windows 98 Second Edition ------- Programing, resource extraction, Testing and other uses
4. Windows 95 OSR --------------------- Testing, interface and efficiency improving, similar non-demanding tasks
5. Windows 3.11 for Workgroups ---- Testing 16Bit and 32Bit software, interface and efficiency improving (visit >>> http://www.calmira.org <<<
6. DOS 6.22 ----------------------------- For repairing the problems encountered on any of these Operative Systems
7. An Operative System "slot" - This is where we test various Operative Systems, such as Windows 1.0 (!), Linux (various builds), Menuet, Alpha OS, ...

Why Windows 3.11? This was our first GUI Operative System and we just adore those small 16Bit applications that run even on Windows XP and don't take "an inch" of memory... Also, we have recently repaired our First Computer, 80486 66 MHz DX2 and installed Windows 3.11 that runs perfectly and mimics the look and feel of Windows XP(!)...

There is no Celestia for Windows 3.11 However...
