NASA's Blue-Marble site -- dead?

Anyone know what happened to NASA's Blue Marble site? I tried to get their highest (43200 x 21600 pixel) resolution earth textures. But alas, cannot find their server anymore. They are seperated into two files each being 21600 x 21600 for the west and the same for the east.

If they're gone for good, anyone know where I can obtain those textures? :?

http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Newsroom/BlueMarble/
works for me.

Note that the largest images are now only available upon special request.

Okay, I thought that's what the URL was but when I tried it the past few days it wasn't working. Interesting the power of one post can do! It makes URLs work!!

What URL were you trying?

NASA recently re-did the NASA HOME page - but that shouldn't effect DACS. (Data distribution sites.) But because of security concerns - NASA web sites can get taken off line for several days until the security issues are resolved to the DATA SEC officials opinions.

I was able to see this:

http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Newsroom/BlueMarble/

Looks like the web is up but the ftp server is down or swamped.

I have the super chunks - I will try to put them up tomorrow, but I can only push them via www.
