Hey Guys,
I have a question about the image and height/ 3d mesh data you can see in Celestia (moons, Planets, stars etc.).
Where are these sources from? Were they manipulated via blender or other software?

Thanks for your answers!

As I've already said on the Discord server, the sources for Celestia's models and textures are listed in the README file, the latest version of which can be found here in the CelestiaContent repository.

This forum has many textures and models that can be used, as well as links to resources. Cubic's Resource and Tutorial Collection links to many texture resources; mostly for making your own textures, but also repositories of pre-existing textures, like HD texture link collection and USGS Astrogeology. DeviantArt also has a surprising amount of good planetary textures. 3D models links collection is a repository of 3D model links.

to add to the above there is the planetary data system ( PDS)
https://pds.nasa.gov/

this has all the missions to the planets and all the imaging data is here
https://pds-imaging.jpl.nasa.gov/

but the data is not in a common image format
it is in it's own pds data format and requires a set of programs like ISIS4 to use
