1. Go to the website http://planck.ipac.caltech.edu/image/planck13-002a
2. There can download the JPG textures 150x75 (23.9 KB) 300x150 (49.9 KB) 600x300 (156 KB) 900x450 (331 KB) 1500x750 (850 KB) 3000x1500 (2.72 MB) or 6400x3200 (8.28 MB)
3. Note that most graphics software will map images to the outside of a sphere; since this is the inside projection looking outwards the image should be flipped horizontally when used with such software. Can to be flipped horizontally with the free program called GIMP.
4. Download the wmap.zip file (WMAP Microwave Maps) of the Selden Ball's webpage https://www.classe.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/catalogs.html#3.5.9
5. Unzip wmap.zip and delete wmap/textures/medres/wmap-bkg.jpg, wmap/textures/medres/wmap-q.jpg files and wmap/models/wmap-trans-prot-q.3ds and wmap/models/wmap-q.3ds
6. Rename the new Planck's texture as wmap-bkg.jpg and put inside of the folder wmap/textures/medres/
7. Example of Eridanus Supervoid:

Ty Jujuapapa, here i ve downloaded the 6k version and flipped horizontally with the free program called GIMP to display with the modified Selden WMAP Addon (follow since 4° step)

Save the next code as EridanusSupervoid.dsc in the same folder:

Code: Select all

Nebula "Eridanus supervoid" {
   RA 3.3278
   Dec -19.4114
   Distance 1.38e10
   Radius 6e8
}

The Eridanus Supervoid is the largest supervoid (an area of the universe devoid of galaxies) discovered as of 2007. At a diameter of about one billion light years it is much larger than any other known void and represents a challenge for current theories of the origins of the universe to explain.

It was discovered by linking a "cold spot" in the cosmic microwave background to an absence of radio galaxies in data of the United States National Radio Astronomy Observatory's Very Large Array Sky Survey. There is some speculation that the void may be due to quantum entanglement between our universe and another.
