MARS clouds as *.jpg

Post #1by Henning Papendorf » 01.03.2003, 09:44

I am a new user of CELESTIA (Ja. 03) and I?m really thrilled by this fantastic simulation. I am using it together with TERRAGEN to make pictures more or less realistically looking - like e.g. looking from the surface of Charon to Pluto and so on. Now I search for MARS clouds as I saw once on somebodies gallery. But my system cannot read *.dds files yet and I?m not able to make such cloud texture myself. Of course planetary textures are easier and this already works fine.
:D

You should still be able to use .png format images for clouds. PNG supports full tranparency so its the most used for clouds. If I am thinking of the same Mars cloud texture you are, its already in .png format. Just search the forum for Mars clouds and you should find a link. Of course if you are speaking of the Terraformed Mars clouds then you would be talking to me. :D

I might answer a PM or a post if its relevant to something.

Past texture releases, Hmm let me think about it
