Hi,
Here's an upgrade for six of the Saturnian moons, Tethys, Dione, Iapetus, Mimas, Rhea and Enceladus. All textures are in 2K ( the original textures that Celestia used are 256x128 except Enceladus, which uses asteroid texture by default) DDS format for faster loading. There are some gaps due to the limited fly-by's of the probes (50% coverage in some cases).
You can download them at my home site or follow this direct link
Here's a screenshot:

very nice stuff, Praesepe
Rhea, has a very nice texture.
by the way, did you ever finish the Europer texture

Praesepe, thanks for these.
Phil Stooke filled the gaps in his 1k Enceladus photomosaic with lower res data, which avoids the very obvious white patches on the USGS map you've used.
Stooke's image is at http://www.ssc.uwo.ca/geography/spacemap/encylmos.jpg
Anything you can do with that to fill the white area in your map?

You can always fill it out in grey instead or take a sample of the average color of most of the texture and replace all the white with this color instead. I think even purists that insist that undocumented area should have no detail can go along with this idea. You are after all just filling the back sections with color that is known to be there anyway so that the transition from photographed areas are not such a drastic change from the non photographed ones. I have done this a few times myself and it makes a good comprimise. Just my 2 cents.

I might answer a PM or a post if its relevant to something.
Ah, never say never!!
Past texture releases, Hmm let me think about it
Thanks for your understanding.

Sorry, I should have made it clear that Stooke's fill-in data come from the real world - low-res views of Enceladus by both Voyagers - whereas the USGS shaded relief map of Enceladus concentrates on only those areas imaged at high resolution, and leaves other areas white.
So Stooke's map provides some correct albedo variation in "unmapped" areas - there is an interesting weblike texture to the region south of Sarandib Planitia, for instance, which would otherwise appear a dull uniform shade if an averaged grey fill-in were used).
I don't know if similar low-res data are available for the other Saturnian moons, but it would be interesting to find out.

Ok, I gave it a try and filled the white gaps in Enceladus texture with Phil Stooke's 1k photomosaic (many thanks to Grant!) and here are the results, I think it doesn't look too bad, at least much better than with the white gaps Comments and suggestions are welcome
Darkmiss: I'm still working on Europa (trying to eliminate patches mainly). From now it has lots of gaps at different resolution which are only noticeable at closeups (all Europa textures I've found have the same ones problem). I've also upgraded my system with some ram and i'd like to give a try to an 8k version. (so I'd have to start again from 0)
