More (but not entirely) realistic M-type stars

I like Celestia's classic pink color for the M-type stars, but there is a problem. Pink is not a suitable color for a star, which would make Celestia unreliable for educational purposes. I think that there should be an addon that modifies the glow of type M stars from pink to red, and the same for the textures, like AH Scorpii or V648 Cassiopeiae in this video:

If anyone has any suggestions than please reply. Thanks.

The in-dev version of Celestia 1.7 already features more realistic star colors and I made a set of star textures calibrated according to balck-body spectrum.

Personally I don't like the comic-like star colors either, like saturated yellow for G-types or bloody red for red giants.

Will I have to uninstall Celestia (version 1.6.1) from my computer in order to (install and then...) run Celestia 1.7?

roninwolf1981, no actually you need to keep your current installation and replace the executeable with the 1.7 one. Also you will need to add some extra dll files in your main Celestia directory. 1.7 Download link
There should be a topic dedicated to this on the forum if it doesnt work right away.

@FarGetaNik, is it the Help Central thread, or the Tutorial thread?
