Outstanding!!

This map alone, 24 GB you say, wuld be twice bigger than all the material hosted on the Celestia motherload!

I'll download this as soon as you release it!

The colour of Venus' surface has been debated fervently on this forum before. But I must say I don't think it's ugly at all.

I like the map. By the way, the colour is kinda OK. Ie, once I saw pics of the Venera probes in which the atmospheric effects were removed, and guess what, the surfaces was dark, like black or dark gray.
Still I once had the 32K map, and I had a good color in the surface, but taken from atmospheric effects in the solarsys.ssc file. In Mie effects and that stuff. It took some time to make it because I had to do it by myself.

It is what it is. If the scientific data says the surface is gray. Who are we to argue? Celestia is supposed to provide an "accurate as possible" simulation. I think you are doing an outstanding job John.
