Large tif to jpg... help!

Hello chaps...

I have a large tif image (43200x21600). PS only gives me the option to save as RAW, Tif or large document format. I need to jpg it to send to SquishDDS.

Can you help me? I'm on mac.

You might consider one of the command-line image manipulation utilities like ImageMagick. It's free and available for Macs.

p.s.
the simplest IM conversion command would be
convert large_image.tif large_image.jpg
but there are lots of qualifiers to give more control over the output.

It's okay.... I had to reduce it to 16k as any larger has to be vt, which I don't know how to make. Oh well.

You can tile it with F-TexTools per Mac http://forum.celestialmatters.org/viewtopic.php?t=44

Ahh... I remember I had probs with the F-Textools. Probably operator error but I just couldn't get it to work. I may try again but I'll probably give up.
