What I do for gas giants is start with a map of Jupiter. I usually remove the GRS, then shear the image in Photoshop and fade the result so the sheared image looks like a transparent layer on top of the original.I also recolor it. Shear and fade the image enough and it gets this almost motion blur effect, adding a ton of detail and generally making the image look awesome. Note that I don't always shear the image, as seen in this map from my site:Image

I'd have to agree with John. It's dissapointing to look at new addons and see the same textures re-coloured over and over again.

Yes. I should probably change the theme; before the metal texture and black text I had a black starfield and white text.I'm going to change it back.
