How do I remove painted clouds on a texture?

Hi everyone,

I have visted a website called Tronitec Game Studios and on that webste they had a download called 24 Alien World Textures. I downloaded it for use in one of my upcoming systems, I have been modifying the textures in Photoshop CS (1) and I noticed that they had made a few earth like textures which looked nice, apart from the clouds, which were horribly painted onto the texture. I would like to know how to remove the painted clouds without harming the rest of the texture, I would like to save the rest of the texture in other words!

If anyone knows how they could do this or if anyone could do it for me, it would be very helpful.

Cheers

M.Noob

The same way you would edit out any feature in an image, make up stuff to fill its place and overlay it.

If the cloud textures are a part of the image, you can't just remove them to see anything underneath.

Thanks hungry,

Its a shame that the clouds are painted onto the texture, the textures themsleves are nice, I think if I could brush them up, I could make use of them :)

You might try contacting the original artists to see if they can provide an unpainted version.

Don't forget to ask permission from the original artist, and credit accordingly. :!:
