Some features of places like Moon and Mercury are not very crisp. In fact, looks a bit blurry. One of this cases are the numerous catenas and even some other small features in craters. This is hapenning even in the 64K maps.Is there any plans to improve the smoothness of catenas images?

Daniel,

practically all photographic imaging of planets and moons involves superpositions of lower and higher resolution mosaics. The lower resolutions mostly date back to earlier space missions. This holds in particular for Mercury or also for the Saturnian and Jovian moons. For Mercury, only part of the global images are from the new Messenger spacecraft. The rest MUST look a lot less crisp, since it has much worse resolution.

It is NOT our task to modify the scientific images via "phantasy" corrections.
Perhaps you find some add-on creators who don't mind doing this.
