Hey Rass,
I use Axialis IconWorkshop Pro. It can import and export to .psd & .png format so you can manipulate the images is photoshop. It aslo alows you to make icons from 128x128 all the way down to 16x16 with any custom sizes you want in between. It supports full XP alpha chanels and can convert Mac OS Clasic and Mac OS X icons too. It is a must for any icon maker. As you can see it gives you a great deal of posibilities. They have a free trail version you can use for 30 days. But if you are really serious about making icons the Pro version is a must.
