can't get DDS files to work on my linux box

hi there.. i can't get .dds files to work on my suse 10.1 x64 box. i'm using an nvidia card which has the requisite openGL extension, found in help/openGL info. i'm using the autopackage version. put the .dds in /extras, and made a .ssc file. i right click on the planet and select the texture but all it displays is a white globe, no texture. what is going wrong? i followed the sticky from the forum here. thanks for any help.

You should put it in /extras/textures/medres or /extras/textures/hires.
