Hi, I was wondering if you have a file or url for this kind of texture on the pic.
Thanks.

This question was actually the cause of a long and exhausting flame war ;)

The textures are very big and therefore are difficult to put on any webspace, the traffic volume would be simply overwhelming... though t00fri, the creator of these textures is trying to put them online on the celestia's creator webspace ... also see this thread:

You will have to be a bit patient, very soon there should be reasonable high res textures waiting for you downloading them ;)

For ages I suffered with my TNT2 32Mb card, and could only marvel at fridgers awesome Earth textures. Now I have a GeForce4 ti4400 128DDR, I just can't wait for these to be released. Even if it takes years for them to be posted, it'll be too soon.

Texture foundry

Hi,

thanks to the aforementioned long and intense discussion we now have a texture foundry site which will feature Fridger's large textures.

This is currently just beginning to take off and there are severe memory/bandwith limits but the textures will be available for everyone in some time.

Finally there will be a hi-fi texture pack.

Take care,
Axel
