Hi PLN,
please check if you've gor the same resolution with booth textures. If not please resize one of them. Tetxure dimensions have to be a power of two and grfx cards are limited on texture memory (size).

So Axel when you getting an account lol...
Its possible that your video card has too little memory so it won't load the night texture...I will make a smaller resolution earth texture if you want that is if your using mine...I would doubt any others as they are dds...as I can logically conclude your card is a 32 meg or lower...
