Wow!

I'd been missing out . . .

I just downloaded D.Edwards volcanic moon, and I'm extremely impressed! The bump map, thin clouds, and glowing lava look incredible. Very creative use of the night side lights feature. It makes me think of a new planet, still hot from frequent impacts and radioactive decay.

I put it in orbit around the newly discovered planet of HD 2039.

Sounds great, Chris. How does one go about "placing" a planet in orbit around a sun??

Hey Chris
Thanks for the compliment about my texture. I hope everyone enjoys using it. It wasn't difcult to make and I did it on a whim. It turned out alot better than I had hoped. I was thinking of using a similar idea for brown dwarfs and large gasgiants and posibly using it to create an Aurora effect for viewing on the night side of planets. I think this would be the least intensive way of doing the Aurora effect someone mensioned in the Ideas for Next Version section. What do you think??
