it will be for a dvd so it will be sold.

is blue marble texture free?

The BlueMarble images on the NASA Web site are public domain. You can do whatever you want with those pictures.

There are several different "BlueMarble" surface textures provided for Celestia by several different artists. They all are copyrighted by their creators unless they specify otherwise. You have to ask their permission to reproduce them. That's how the law works.

Since there are several different ones, you'll have to say which images you want to use. Each artist provides them with different restrictions.
