Shadows from the Rings of Saturn

I just visited Saturn in Celestia and noticed that the rings are not casting any shadows on the planet itself. I've seen some Nasa photography indicating that ring shadows are indeed casted onto the planet. Is there any way to acomplish this?

Lots of people have asked about this. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's due in the next version ?

It doesn't look like it's going to happen for 1.2.5 . . . I'm trying to get the new version done this week, and it's going to take all my time just to finish up comets and integrate patches. Since it's been so long since the last Celestia release, I think it's important to get another version out soon, rather than waiting until more features are ready.

But will the option to turn ring-shadows *off* be included in this release? Some of us have still got incompatability problems that make the whole ring-thing look ugly.

Well, if you can get comets working for this week, go for it ! :P

You've put me in suspense now.... will I get to see the new version before I go on holiday later this week ? Nail-biting tension....
