Updates to CVS question

Hey guys... just curious about something. I have been using the browse CVS repository feature at SourceForge - just to pique my curiosity and watch as the new code snippets are being uploaded.

But I'm only able to view by going into each folder individually and sorting by "age". I am assuming (rather, hoping) that there is some way either ot view the ENTIRE repository in a flat view (and sort by age - so I can see all the latest files) or, at least, some way just to see the latest files without having to go digging.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steven

This is not possible.

You can however keep up to date with what is happening in cvs by subscribing to the celestia-cvs mailling list, or just browse the archive.

Oh well. Thanks anyway, Christophe. :)

Blinded,

Haven't you been compiling the source code yourself on your own system?

You can browse the files that you've downloaded to your system any way you want.

Thanks Selden - yeah, that's true, I can sort in the Finder by modification date (assuming they accurately reflect the date the new code was added) on my computer. But then I don't get the easy-to-read little release notes (and coder's names) that are to the right of all the new code.

I'm kinda surprised there isn't the CVS equivalent of "View posts since last visit" near the Browse CVS Online link...

Oh well. I'm starting to get the clue that this this life thing doesn't provide me with everything I want, when i want it. Who set that up? :)

You also can click on the column headings of the Web page that shows the files. They'll sort alphabetically or by date.

True, but then brings me back to my original posting of finding a way to do that without having to open up every folder and checking...
