Chris, some time ago I read something on this same subject but, sorry, I've not been able to find it.
Anyhow, the problem still exists:
Celestia's default Display Mode is Windows, and even if we change it to any other setting, when we shut off Clestia and later on we reopen it, we have again the Windows Mode.
Is it possible to change this default setting?

Moreover, the names of planets, moons and what else are shown in small characters (I think 10), green, and regular.
In order to have them more visible during the shows, could be better to change the default settings as follows:
BIGGER character (e.g. 12)
WHITE
BOLD

Do you think this could be done in some way?

I have installed the last 1.3.1 release.

Andrea,

You can change the size of the lettering that Celestia uses by editing the file celestia.cfg

I make all of them larger, but I think the LabelFont is the one you want to change. The fonts that Celestia uses are in its fonts directory, of course.

Thanks a lot Selden, this solved very well the second part of my request. Now too poor eyed people can read lettering on the projecton screen.
I hope that someone else will solve my other (little, indeed) problem.

Have you tried starting celestia with the "--fullscreen" (note the double dash) parameter from the command-line?

Harald, so it was so simple!
With the previous version I used this command for opening in full screen, but Celestia was not remembering my different setting for graphic display.
Now with 1.3.1 Final it works.
Very well.
By the way, the exact command is " --fullscreen" with two blanks for WIN XP, and one blank for the other OS.
